The Epistle of Jude quotes it by name: “Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied…” (Jude 14). Early Christians read it. Later Western canons dropped it, which is why most people only meet Enoch in fragments and screenshots.
The complete book survived in Ethiopia, copied in Ge‘ez for centuries: the Watchers on Mount Hermon, the Nephilim, the paths of the sun and moon, the judgement to come. One continuous work, not a paraphrase.
